I am holding on to the hope that the next wave of the Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) moving across our part of the world will deliver…forecast modelling suggests the possibility of some MJO action around late December, probably around Christmas time, although it looks as though the strong high pressure ridging up the east coast is set to remain in place, keeping rainfall confined to the NW and central north of the continent. Drat!
